Rotary Club
The Rotary Club of Portsmouth is an organization of business and professional leaders united to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. In more than 160 countries worldwide, approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 30,000 Rotary clubs.  The Portsmouth Rotary Club supports educational and literacy efforts in the community and offers seven scholarships.

RSVP of Scioto County is a national organization dedicated to enriching the lives of adults as they begin to transition from one phase of life to another. Sponsored by Scioto Christian Ministry, Inc., since 1973.

Southern Ohio Performing Arts Association
The Southern Ohio Performing Arts Association is responsible for bringing many productions into this area.  Some of the titles on this years plate are Cherryholmes, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Sweeney Todd, and Hairspray.  Cherryholmes, the next performance to be shown, will be performed on September 18th at the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts.  Online ordering begins August 25th or you can call the McKinnley Box Office at 740-351-3600.

The Literacy Council of Scioto County
The Literacy Council of Scioto County (LCSC) has been created to improve communication among the various literacy service provider agencies, committees, school systems, and other organizations that are involved in local literacy efforts. Additionally, the LCSC is charged with improving collaboration and efficiency of service delivery among the various providers. The LCSC supports programs which address the low literacy rate in Scioto County.

Scioto County Emergency Management Agency

The Scioto County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) coordinates all planning, response and recovery activities to a wide range of emergencies in the county. The EMA team is representative of elected leadership, response agencies and social and civic organizations from throughout the county, with the goal of making Scioto County a safe place to live and raise a family.
